CLIENT ACCOUNTING AND REPORTING SPECIALIST
Position Description:
The Client Accounting and Reporting Specialist will manage the company’s day-to-day client accounting, account verification, reporting and client satisfaction functions.
Responsibilities:
- Calculate advances and reconciliations for client loans and prepare accompanying statements utilizing the Company’s specialized loan accounting software
- Manage application of customer payments for financed receivables, including account verification and monitoring
- Utilize Treasury Management software of Company’s bank to monitor and record cash inflows and maintain document imaging
- Prepare cash/loan position reports and projections for management
- Perform cash tracing from accounting statements and bank lockboxes.
- Maintain communication with existing clients regarding upcoming loans and collections
- Extreme attention to customer service and client satisfaction – respond to customer and client inquiries in a timely manner by phone, email or fax.
- Work closely with management regarding strategy, budgeting and risk management
Requirements
- Minimum 2-4 years experience in commercial bank lending, factoring or ABL organization and/or accounting firm; knowledge of loan processing and general bookkeeping principles and procedures
- Knowledge of commercial financial products and services, preferred
- Bachelors Degree required, CPA and/or MBA preferred
- Strong Computer skills: Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, Factor SQL or a proven ability to quickly learn specialized finance software
- Strong attention to detail and exceptionally well organized
- Proven ability to function effectively in an extremely fast paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Self-driven and goal-oriented, able to meet multiple objectives in an entrepreneurial environment with little supervision
- The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of the general loan documentation process for multiple loan products such as; factoring, asset based, vendor assurance, purchase order financing, lines of credit, and term loans. In addition to understanding general process documentation such as, notification letters, UCC perfection, Dunn and Bradstreet, etc. and document to ensure perfection of security interest in compliance with regulatory, legal and bank requirements.
